Wildlife at Las Costes
As witnessed from the following extracts from our visitors book: "The unpicked fruit on the cherry tree outside La Grive is now over-ripe and falling and the tree regularly attracts a variety of birds. The following have been seen in and around the tree without leaving the patio:- Blackbird, Dunnock, Wren, Robin, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Jay, Nuthatch, Blackcap, Greater Spotted Woodpecker and others which those more knowledgeable would be able to identify." "Great birdlife around the house, lots of Woodpeckers, Buzzards, Red Kites, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Crested Tits, Willow Tits, Nuthatch, Jay. Never seen a Nuthatch in the UK, so quite thrilled." “Frogs, toads, lizards and a myriad of birdlife, interest in every corner of the grounds.” |
